Palgrave Environment Committee is a charitable organization in the Town of Caledon. Since 2007, the members have been instrumental in providing community leadership about eating locally and supporting the green economy of Caledon.
The first chair of the committee, Barb Imrie, received the Environmentalist of the
year award, from the Caledon Environmental Advisory Committee (CEAC).
We are part of the Palgrave United Church charitable organization with an active Board of Directors. We are continuing to support our local farms when hosting church events.
We received an “Eat Local Hero Award” from Caledon Countryside Alliance in September 2008
We were the first church in Caledon to add solar panels
that create green energy for the community.
